CITY HALL — More than three months after it shot down a proposal from the developer, the Azusa City Council this week voted unanimously to allow the application process to move ahead for what would be development of a senior housing complex and six industrial warehouses on the Azusa Greens golf course, while keeping nine of the 18 holes open for use. Mayor Robert Gonzales and councilmembers Edward Alvarez and Jesse Avila Jr. voted in the affirmative. Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Mendez and councilman Dennis Beckwith abstained because they own property within 1,000 and 500 feet of the project property line, respectively.
